The biggest hindrance that attempts to slow us down, stand in our way or stop us from stepping into our destiny is not challenges but pitfalls.
But what's the difference?
Very simply, challenges are extrinsic
- Finances
- Social connection
- Dynamic Change
- Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous (aka VUCA) environments
etc
Pitfalls, on the other and are intrinsic. These include:
- Self-doubt
- confidence
- Fear
- Timidity
etc.
But what exactly is destiny?
Very simply, destiny is manifesting (in the physical realm) who and what we have been graced to be in the spirit. So my destiny is by His grace; my leadership is by His grace; sharing my gift and ministry is by His grace, sharing this blog is by His grace, etc.
Colossians 1:18
And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence.
This is one of those verses in the bible, where the rubber meets the proverbial road.
Here's my version of Colossians 1:18:
"if you are not willing to sacrifice your convenience for the preeminence of Christ (the way of righteousness), don't kid yourself."
ouch!!
Friends, when we are stepping into our destiny it does not always come with convenience.
