Nothing to Prove, Hide or Defend

============================================================================

12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. - 2 Timothy 1

One of my all-time favorite quotes is by Max Lucado.

I do not believe most people wake up each day with the intent to offend others. Often times the offense emerges from the unconscious realm. If what Max says holds true, you and I are going to offend others and maybe "blackballed," as a result.

Apostle Paul says:

1) I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed

2) I am persuaded (fully convinced) that He is able to keep (guard) what I have committed to Him

God is able to guard our character and reputation when the dirt is being thrown at you. As long as we are breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide we will unconsciously offend others.

When people throw dirt, they lose ground. So if dirt is thrown at you when you unconsciously offend, know that the appropriate response is not to prove, hide, or defend.

God is your judge........ He will keep and guard.
