Proverbs 13:1
A wise son or daughter desires a father’s discipline, but the know-it-all never listens to correction.
Comment: Today, our heavenly father communicates to, and disciplines us through, His sons. The son or daughter can choose to receive the correction through the functional lens or the relational lens. When the father is speaking from a functional perspective and the receiver is perceiving the message relationally, conflict, and offense is inevitable.
