Hello loyal readers! What an honor to have you here with me so we can spend time together. I value the time you have chosen from your busy schedule to read words of encouragement for you. I don't take it for granted and from the bottom of my heart I say thank you!

Today I was reflecting on the question who am I? I think that's a question that many have asked themselves at some point in their lives. And you? Have you asked yourself the same question? If so, let's find out what answers will be discovered that may pleasantly surprise you.

Not so long ago, I picked up a piece of paper and started writing down the things I love and am passionate about. I also wrote about the things I don't want, don't like, or won't tolerate in my life. I'll be honest with you; It took me time to write it. However, it has given me the opportunity to know who I really am.

This gave me clarity of who I really was. Why is it important to be clear? When you have clarity about your identity, there will be congruence in all aspects of your life. You are not ambiguous about your core values with yourself or when you relate to others.

Your authenticity will be reflected in everything around you. Even if you've done this before, take a moment to determine if there are any changes that need to be added or removed. Look at what you wrote down, does it describe you well? Excellent! You know who you are. Let it be reflected every day!

For those who said, "Not yet." Don't worry, keep in mind that this is a process of discovery from the inside out. Value the time spent getting to know yourself in depth. Enjoy every moment!

"I will thank you and praise you, because I have been made in a formidable and wonderful way; Wonderful are your works; and that my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14

Hello, loyal readers! So glad you are with me today so we can talk about a topic that many may not like to hear. Hopefully, you will not be in that category I am referring to. Even if you are, you may see it differently by the end of this blog post. I truly believe it may be for you!

The word I will be sharing is the word patience. Oh, no! Perhaps this is NOT what you wanted to read about this week. However, let me shed some light on this word. First, let’s look at the definition of it. It is defined as the capacity to tolerate or accept delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

You might be asking; how can you not get upset or angry when there is a delay in your situation? When you intentionally quiet your emotions, it will bring peace inside of you. As you evaluate your situation, you proceed in putting into action what you can accomplish. You are actively waiting for what you desire.

Let what you are desiring produce an expectation of the outcome. This in turn will produce a joy of anticipation that will carry you until it becomes a reality. You are moving in the right direction with your actions along with your strength to persevere even with time itself.

Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you behave while waiting. Patience attracts two great friends which are peace and joy; it brings near that which is far. Peace and joy are produced inside of you, and it is not determined by external situations. It is a deliberate choice one makes by waiting patiently expecting for the moment that will change everything.

With that said, I encourage you to choose intentionally, joyfully, peacefully, and patiently expect what you are hoping for. It will come at the right moment and at the right time you could not have planned it better. Why? Simply put, God hears your prayers!

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

Peace, Love, and Joy!

Hello loyal readers! Have you ever wonder what it would be like to be radically changed from how you are? Some would want it to be physical, others may want it to be situational, or while others may want it to be total transformation. I can tell you I was in the latter group, for sure! I wanted to be unrecognizable to when I would look into the mirror. What about you?

In my life’s journey, I realized that the essence of who I am was not what needed to be transformed. You may ask, what do you mean by that? I am referring that I had to dig in deeply within myself to rediscover who I truly was. I became a determined detective willing to go to the bottom of the truth and nothing but the truth.

Diligently and with determination discovered shockingly layers of lies camouflaging and covering my true self. I angrily pulled one by one the lies out destroying any traces of it. Enough was enough! My eyes began to see clearly what was under it all. A sense of wonder invaded my heart. Why?

Suddenly a new and wonderful person was staring with bewilderment back at me. Although she recognized me, I vaguely remembered her in my dreams at night. Yes, once again united to become my true self! I began to love who I am as a person. I have a corky sense of humor, love people, love to learn, care and compassionate with others. Those traits and values, I did not want to change at all.

What I have discovered, I want to share with those that want to live a life of joy, peace, and love to the fullest. I am not saying I have arrived there yet I am in a better place than yesterday, last week, and definitely last year. Where do you start for this new adventure? Joyfully and with a big smile, I will continue talking with you in the next blog!

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Peace, Love, and Joy!
