Hello, my loyal readers! It is the last week of the month of August and soon we will be in winter. Can you believe it? It is so important to not only prepare for the future but to enjoy in the now. We get caught up either what we should have done or what we need to do. Have you ever just said, “I am just going to forget it all and just be.”

If that has not occurred recently or you can’t ever recollect that at all, then stop EVERYTHING! Take a moment in your schedule even if it is 30 minutes to just either close your eyes or listen to instrumental soft music. Or even better yet, have silence as your companion. As I mentioned in the last blog, silence will allow you to declutter internally.

Take an inventory of your accomplishments, your actionable goals, and then set them aside to enjoy your now. Don’t beat yourself for not doing anything for appointed moment. You will be recharged internally to be able to confront anything externally with a smile on your face. Remember, “Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is your future. Today is your life. Live it.”

“No, dear brothers and sister, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” Philippians 3:13

Hi, my loyal readers! I am sitting on a bench table contemplating the sunset as the warm breeze caresses my face. It is a beautiful clear evening that speaks about the works of God at Ben T Davis beach in Tampa, Florida. I don’t know about you but when things are hectic with me, I get away to slow my thought process down, spend time with God and quiet my soul.

We live in such a fast-paced world that we don’t realize how important it is to stop, rest, and decompress from everything. It is vital for us to remove ourselves to have clarity on our spirit, emotions, and physical body. God meets us in this quiet time. As we wait for Him to speak to us, let us enjoy His presence in nature, music, and even in the silence.

He is willing to listen attentively to our feelings, requests, and needs eagerly. He is quiet because He is giving you the opportunity to share wholeheartedly all that is in us. I love that! He does not interrupt us when we are talking to Him. Once we pour our all to Him and nothing else is in us, then He will fill us with His love, peace, joy, and strength. He will give us clarity to our situations in life!

“I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and

heard my cry” Psalms 40:1

Hello, my loyal readers! Today we are going to talk about the phrase, “Silence is golden.” This

statement was used by Thomas Carlyle, a German poet in his novel “The Tailor Retailored.” In the novel, it reads as “Speech is silver, silence is golden.” The meaning is that silence needs

authority of mind and a specific type of power; to keep silent is not easier than expressing

anger, love, happiness, and betrayal with words.

When you allow for silence to lead your focus internally, everything else will fade in the background. This is necessary to be able to evaluate everything that are distracting you in life. To have clarity of your future, spending time in silence will give you a keener perspective and increase of creativity. In a world of chaos and confusion, silence provides a shelter of calm and peace that will give you more patience.

At times, why is God silent in our lives? He is allowing you to pause your busyness and your hectic schedule to be able to have time to process your emotions. Although He is present, He is silent. When you practice solitude and silence, you allow your brain to process your deep feelings, rather than suppressing them and remaining in autopilot. As you uncover these rooted sentiments and thoughts, you will be able to heal and move forward with a greater understanding of you and your destiny.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28
